Normita’s first yoga teacher was Jane Smith, a ballet Rambert star and a pioneer of yoga in Scotland, UK.She studied with Jane for over 9 years. Normita took a full year sabbatical with her quest diagnostics about yoga.
She was trained and certified at Its Yoga San Francisco by the founder, Larry Schultz, world renowned private yoga teacher for the Grateful Dead.She attended an Advance Teacher Training program with Ana T. Forrest in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was very impressed with Ana T. Forrest, the author of Fierce Medicine, she decided to study and get certified as a Forrest Yoga teacher at Pure Yoga, Hong-Kong and Yoga Tree San Francisco. She has been teaching yoga for over 15 years. She owned and managed a yoga studio in Scotland. She taught yoga in Brazil, England, France, Hong-Kong, Italy, Spain, Scotland and USA.

Normita Smith is a Certified Archetypal Consultant. After graduating from the program taught by Caroline Myss at the CMED Institute, she has extensively worked One on One with Peter Occhiogrosso. Peter was an integral part of creating the study and practice materials used at CMED. He has instructed Normita in using archetypes for guidance in specific areas, including health, career, and relationships.

Breathing has always been synonymous with LIFE. Our body can resist many forms of trauma, fight through a lack of nourishment and take on harsh outer conditions but without the ability to draw breaths were effectively dead within a few moments. (according to Medical Daily). Over the last 15 years, Normita has invested a lot of time, money and energy in studying various breathing techniques in many different countries. As a former Golf Lady Vice Captain in Scotland, she used various breathing techniques before and after Golfing Amateur Competitions, along with some yoga poses.
It was a stellar formula to achieve VICTORY. It inspired her to continue using breathing techniques with her private and group yoga classes. She loves witnessing the transformation and the subtle movement. She focuses on the Nervous System which she calls our “ Life Line” when teaching breathing techniques.
