I was recovering from major surgery and was looking for a gentle form of exercise to help build up my strength when I was introduced to Normita.
We began one to one sessions which were tailored to my specific needs and within a few weeks I could see a marked difference in my posture and general well being.
As I have a very demanding job, which involves a great deal of traveling, it is difficult for me to commit to scheduled group classes so the one to one sessions suit me perfectly. The added benefit is that Normita can immediately tell if I have had a particularly stressful week and builds the session around my needs.
I now find that I use the breathing techniques and poses on practically a daily basis to help me cope with the stress and strains of every day life - Normita's style of holistic coaching is both gentle and very powerful and allows me to indulge in some much needed me time.

Holistic Coaching is helping me maintain a flexible lifestyle
I have suffered with back pain for many years, and have always followed an active & healthy lifestyle to try to ensure maximum mobility. As I get older, however, I find I am less able to pursue the more energetic sports that I once did. I am finding that Normita's holistic coaching is helping me to maintain my flexibility, as well as providing relaxation & inner calm. It was great to be able to initially attend private sessions with Normita, this helped me gain confidence and experience. I am now able to be part of a small group of practitioners, led by Normita. Normita è molto chiara e preparata
Durante questo mese ho avuto occasione di frequentare il corso di yoga con Dottoressa Smith.
Durante il corso ho potuto sperimentare diverse tipologie di posizione soprattutto quelle che si concentrano per migliorare il dolore al collo e alle spalle di cui sono dolorante in questo periodo.
Sicuramente mi è stato utile avere delle specifiche pratiche adatte al mio bisogno.
E durante la pratica è sempre stata disponibile e lo è tutt’ora a dare consigli ed ad esporre i vari concetti in modo semplice e piacevole.
Ad ogni fine lezione mi sono sentita più alleviata e rilassata sia fisicamente che mentalmente, infatti si trova il tempo per stare finalmente un po’ in pace con sé stessi, sentire il proprio corpo, calmare il respiro.Normita è molto chiara e preparata, l atmosfera delle sue lezioni è sempre fantastica.

I always left feeling better
Normita is such a fantastic yoga teacher and a real inspiration. I have had the pleasure of attending both private yoga therapy and also group yoga classes with Normita. She made me feel so at ease and immensely helped me pre and post children with my mental and physical fitness. It was always a real joy to see Normita and I always left feeling better than when I stepped on the mat. Her personality is infectious and warm and she always had a kind, caring and truly sincere nature. I miss my sessions with Normita and although I have continued yoga with other teachers none have truly made the same impact on me. Unfortunately for me her move overseas from Scotland was a bit too far too travel for a daily yoga practice! Normita I miss you xx.

Her holistic coaching greatly increased my balance, posture and focus
I asked Normita if she would instruct me in yoga. A few years ago I was in an accident that left my already uncoordinated body extremely lacking at best. My mom has suggested I try to focus on breathing in yoga to find mental balance. I mentioned this to Normita and we began to meet twice a week. She was such an efficient instructor, yet sensitive, too, letting me perform certain stretches against a wall that at first proved useful, then quickly became more of a placebo as her teaching greatly increased my balance and posture (but it was still nice for me to know I had a wall there just in case!) and she never once made me feel inadequate in any way, actually she did the opposite and was quick to point out whatever I did well or had improved on. I have a bichon frise puppy she nicknamed the Diva because of her adorable but pretty constant need for attention. I am not positive how she did this, but my dog, Ria, was always super calm during our exercise even though it was not "all about her." One day Normita took me to the beach to do yoga on our mats in the sand and Ria came along. I was nervous as it was her first day at the beach but she thankfully loved it, and never interrupted my yoga poses, only asking for a quick cuddle now and then. I was one who sort of scoffed at yoga and cannot believe the transition, in just a few months my coordination and balance (both mental and physical) has improved tremendously. Ultimately I don't know about yoga in general, but I know Normita's teaching completely changed my view on it!

Finish Strong Physically and Mentally
I just started attending Normita's class and I felt that by broadening the shoulder blade area it created space and allowed the flow of energy from the finger tips through the arms and extending through out the pose.
By physically tucking the tailbone and lifting the pelvis, engaging mula bandha it created the support required in the hip and spinal area, creating a stronger, safer alignment!
